In the ‘The Inflation Test’ segment conducted at the Qatar Economic Forum in June 2022, it came to light that endeavors are in progress to pinpoint the suitable technology and platform for introducing Qatar’s Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). This digital currency, meticulously crafted by the central bank, mirrors a digital rendition of the country’s tangible currency. Currently, the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) is in the early phases of the creation and implementation of their CBDC.
