Argentina

In Argentina, the implementation of recent regulatory measures, like Transferencias 3.0, has facilitated the establishment of a robust and protected framework. This framework has the potential to be utilized for enhancing public access to payment services and their utilization. Currently, the focus is not on prioritizing the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), especially in the immediate future. However, considering the rapid advancements in the digital sphere, the BCRA acknowledges the need to persistently examine the impacts of CBDCs and determine the most suitable design for Argentina.
